International ETV Forum
The Philippines,
through its Industrial Technology
Development Institute-Department of Science & Technology (ITDI-DOST)
hosts the 4th International
Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Forum and International Working
Group (IWG) on ETV Meeting on November
11-13, 2009.
This
event with the theme: “ETV: Accelerating Technology Solutions to
Climate Change” brings solitary honor to the country as ours is the first ASEAN country ever to host such
significant Forum & Meeting. It will
be held at the Renaissance Hotel in the progressive city of Makati.
The
activities will include Plenary
Session/General Debate on topics like Importance
of Independent Environmental Performance Verification & Reporting, Mechanism
to Bridge Technology Transfer & Financial Gaps in Addressing Climate Change. There will also be a conduct of Thematic Roundtable Sessions on 1) Mitigation Limiting Future Climate Change,
2) Climate Change Adaptation Preparation
for a better future, and 3) International
Cooperation on Common Issues. These
sessions will be complemented with the presentation of ETV Country Case
Studies.
Finally,
the activities will be capped with the IWG-ETV Meeting.
We
foresee a very well attended event with substantial outputs.
